Marson Energy offers a series of packaged engine-generator sets designed specifically for industrial power applications like cogeneration.

Marson Energy's Megawatt in a Box is a complete packaged cogeneration system designed to include all components of a CHP system within a road-portable package. This innovation allows a cogeneration system to be assembled and tested off site , then shipped and set-up on-site with minimal time and expense. Megawatt in a Box includes a 53 foot sound attenuated ISO enclosure with four sections for controls, engine, heat recovery and radiators. In a CHP configuration, heat exchangers or emission control equipment can be included inside the enclosure, reducing the system footprint on site. The standard Megawatt in a Box comes equipped with a Guascor SF560GLD engine for operation to produce 1000 kW of continuous electrical output. Megawatt in a Box is also available with a lower-speed SF560GLD engine to produce 700 kW with lower fuel and operating costs.

More Details

Marson Energy's 1000 kW packaged generator uses a Guascor 48 liter spark-ignited engine for natural gas or landfill gas, and features a standby rating of 1000 kW or a prime rating of 850 kW. This package is a good choice for peak shaving or demand response use, or can be in corporated into a CHP system.

More Details

A cogeneration system can include more than just a generator. Complex systems with steam and hot water recovery, or those using recovered heat for chilling, may require additional equipment such as absorption chillers, pumps, and cooling towers. Marson Energy can package many of these components into portable containers similar to the generator systems. A complete cogeneration system can be assembled with containers instead of a larger building. A containerized plant provides a compact and flexible footprint, and the ability to relocate the equipment from one site to another if needed in the future. Examples of equipment which might be built into portable containers are:

  • Emission control equipment (such as SCR)
  • Steam generators
  • Absorption chillers
  • Cooling Towers
  • SCR reagent tanks
  • Water treatment equipment
  • Additional Pumps
