Installation
Marson Energy provides installation service for all of our emergency generator products in our service area. Our standard service area includes Susquehanna County in Pennsylvania, and Broome and Tioga Counties in New York state. We also provide installation and maintenance services in surrounding areas - give us a call for more information.
Generally Marson Energy installs an emergency generator with an automatic transfer switch which serves the entire electrical panel - sometimes referred to as a "whole-house" switch. The installation of this type of automatic transfer switch involves removing your electrical meter - disconnecting the power - for a few hours while the incoming power wires are routed through the transfer switch to your main panel. Once complete, the automatic transfer switch can connect the generator to power every circuit on the panel when the utility power fails. Multiple transfer switches can be connected on the same generator if needed, to power multiple panels or to power two or more buildings with separate meters. If programmable transfer switches are installed, our staff will walk you through the setup and program the switch to meet your needs.
Marson Energy has relationships with utilities and LP fuel suppliers in our area - if you need a new fuel service we can coordinate details with you or work with your fuel company to make the proper connection to your generator.
Installation costs do vary with equipment, amount of wire required, and fuel piping. In most cases Marson Energy can install a Generac air-cooled generator for under $1000 (exclusive of fuel costs). Larger, liquid-cooled generators require a concrete pad, and can be installed for as little as $1500, exclusive of fuel costs.
