Guardian's air-cooled generator line is America's most popular and most economical choice for home backup power. When combined with an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), these systems will automatically provide power for your home in a utility outage. Air cooled models are compatable with Generac's RTS series of Automatic Transfer Switches, or are available prepackaged with load center transfer switches.

All Generac Guardian automatic home backup generators require natural gas pressure of 5-7 inches of water or LP vapor pressure of 11-14 inches of water column.

Guardian Air Cooled Natural Gas / LP

Guardian's air cooled generators offer affordable, reliable backup power for your home in a compact package. The Guardian air-cooled product line offers the sturdy and reliable Generac OHVI engine in three sizes to match your needs - 7, 10, or 13 kW. Generac has further improved these products by adding an electronic governor to the 10 kW and 13 kW models. The electronic governor improves voltage and frequency stability and support motor starting for loads such as pumps and air conditioners. Air cooled Guardian generators are shipped mounted to a composite pad to simplify installation without the need to pour concrete. Guardian Air Cooled Prepackaged Systems

Guardian Plus backup generators are packaged home backup systems including a Guardian air-cooled generator and 100 amp selective transfer switch with pre-wired conduits. Guardian Plus generators offer the same features found in in Guardian air cooled machines, and also include a 12 volt DC receptacle on the panel and a GFCI Duplex outlet on the exterior of the enclosure. Guardian Plus generators are shipped mounted to a composite pad, and pre-wired to an 8, 10 or 12 circuit selective transfer switch. The package includes pre-wired conduit to connect generator to transfer switcvh and transfer switch to your home's distribution panel.

Quietsource Air Cooled Natural Gas / LP

The Quietsource Air Cooled Models are the newest and most exciting addition to Guardian's 2006 product lineup. These models produce a full 16 kW when powered by LP vapor (15 kW on natural gas fuel) - the highest power of any air-cooled home standby generator on the market today. The air-cooled Quietsource generators combine the proven OHVI engine with an electronic engine governor in either a steel or aluminum enclosure to make a uniquely capable product. Quietsource air-cooled generators feature Generac's proprietary Whisper-Test feature, which runs the engine at a lower speed for weekly exercise. The lower speed means that the generator is quieter during its weekly exercise - only 61 dB. The Quietsource air-cooled generator is mounted on a composite mounting pad, for easy installation with no concrete pad required. Quietsource generators are available as generator alone (for installation with a Generac RTS Automatic Transfer Switch) or as a prepackaged unit with a 16 circuit emergency load center.

Guardian Ultrasource (gasoline)

Ultra source generators offer the power and reliability of Generac's OHVI engine in a portable unit. Ultra Source generators are suitable for use in construction, remote locations, and for emergencies. They offer high continuous and surge power in a portable package. The model 4583 also includes a 50 amp manually operated transfer switch for installation in your home.

Ultra source generators feature electric start, GFCI duplex and 50 amp full power outlets, and a 18 gallon fuel tank. All Guardian generators include a two year warranty from Generac covering parts and labor and are UL Listed 2200.
